Kambo is a powerful traditional remedy with potential for deep physical, emotional, and energetic healing. Its safety and effectiveness rely on proper administration by a skilled practitioner and careful attention to client suitability.
Before considering treatment, it’s essential to understand who can safely benefit from Kambo and who should avoid it due to medical or personal contraindications.
Responsible use ensures the remedy remains a transformative and positive experience for all involved.
Please give your practitioner a list of all medications and supplements taken regularly with dosage and any diagnosis connected.
Kambo is very safe when given by a properly trained practitioner. However, there are some conditions for which it is contraindicated.
This is not an exhaustive list, so it’s essential to consult an appropriately trained and skilled practitioner if you have any concerns. Suitability may occasionally depend on the constitution of the person receiving Kambo.
We contraindicate people who:
Have serious heart problems or who have had heart surgery. This includes a pacemaker but excludes stents
Have an aneurysm or blood clot are on medication for low blood pressure
Lack the mental capacity to make the decision to take Kambo
Individuals with severe mental health issues, including schizophrenia & borderline personality disorder. (Note: we may treat people w/ milder forms of bipolar disorder)

Are undergoing chemotherapy radiotherapy or have done so within the last 4 weeks
Take immune-suppressants after organ transplant
Have Addison’s disease
Are recovering from a major surgical procedure (we wait a small amount of time)
Are under 18 years old
Have certain types of eds
Are pregnant or maybe so, or are breast-feeding a child under 6 months old

No. Kambo is safe only when administered by a properly trained practitioner and after thorough screening for contraindications.
Some health conditions, medications, and personal circumstances mean Kambo is not appropriate or safe for certain individuals.

Serious heart issues, aneurysms, blood clots, low blood pressure medications, recent major surgery, severe mental health disorders, recent chemotherapy/radiotherapy, Addison’s disease, use of immune suppressants post-organ transplant, pregnancy, and breastfeeding (child under 6 months) are key contraindications listed for Kambo.

You should refrain from taking supplements or medications the morning of your session, but consult directly with your practitioner if you have concerns.
